Allianz Life Appoints Cathy Mahone as Chief Administrative Officer

MINNEAPOLIS--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Allianz Life Insurance Company of North America (Allianz Life) has named Cathy Mahone to the post of Chief Administrative Officer where she will be responsible for Enterprise Operations, IT, Compliance and other strategic initiatives. Mahone also joins the company’s Executive Leadership Group and will report directly to Allianz Life President and CEO Walter White.

During her tenure as Allianz Life senior vice president of Enterprise Operations, departments under her leadership received several awards for service quality, including Dalbar’s 2011 Financial Intermediary Service Quality Award and the 2011 Allianz Life Department of the Year award. Beyond leading several key initiatives for Allianz Life, Mahone also was instrumental in creating a partnership with Lifeworks, a nonprofit serving people with disabilities. Allianz Life has since employed eight Lifeworks clients and is a key business partner for the organization.

Prior to joining Allianz Life, Mahone held several leadership positions during her 20-year tenure at Ameriprise Financial. Mahone holds a master’s degree in Business Communications from the University of St. Thomas and a bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications from the University of Minnesota. She also holds her FINRA Series 7 and 24 licenses.
