AlaCOMP arrived at this decision after thorough examination and review of several vendor systems. The selection was due to the high level of functionality of the Tropics software and expertise and longevity of the vendor in the workers' compensation industry. Providing a fully integrated core policy, billing, and claims system under a modern web-based architecture was a big advantage for Tropics in the decision process. In addition to replacing the core systems with Tropics Breeze, Tropics' integrated self-service web portals for agents and policyholders and the Tropics' Business Intelligence system will be implemented for AlaCOMP. Moreover, AlaCOMP will be taking full advantage of the Breeze's integrated productivity tools including integrated email messaging, rules engine and workflow management, document generation, and document imaging.
"With the ever changing workers' compensation market and trying to stay ahead of the curve, we at AlaCOMP felt that we needed the latest software available on the market. Through extensive research we found that Tropics provided exactly what we needed and it was backed by a service guarantee," said
"I am very pleased and excited to welcome AlaCOMP to the growing Tropics family," said Mike Mobar, President and CEO of Tropics Software Technologies. He also added that, "This will be the fifth implementation of the new generation of the Tropics Breeze in the short time since its introduction. Its quick penetration into the market is a testament to our expertise, commitment, and diligence in the application of new technology to produce comprehensive and efficient solutions for our new and existing clients."
