AirPatrol Expands Its Commercial Advisory Board
AirPatrol Corporation, a leader in wireless threat management solutions, today made several appointments to its Commercial Advisory Board. Joining the Board are technology industry veterans Craig Shumard, Adam Ely, James Shira, Tom Kellermann and Rob Markovich. AirPatrol launched the Commercial Advisory Board earlier this year and named Ken Tyminski its chairman. The Board provides the company's management team with strategic advice and counsel to meet growing demand for its award winning products and to further grow its market share in the enterprise mobility security space.

About The New Commercial Advisory Board Members Craig Shumard runs the CIGNA Information Protection organization and drives the company's key IT security initiatives, including: risk assessment, trusted user and remote worker risk-based access control, IT network segmentation and development of 21st century information protection operating models which focus on enabling business securely. Shumard is a recognized thought leader in the area of information protection, often serving as an industry spokesman at national conferences and events as well as features in national publications including The Wall Street Journal, InformationWeek and CSO Magazine. Adam Ely is currently the Director, Security with TiVo where he is responsible for information and application security. Additionally, he is a Technology Contributor at InformationWeek, and previously was the Senior Manager for Technology and the Manager for Information Security Operations at The Walt Disney Company. James Shira is the Head of GITR Americas at Zurich Financial Services, where he is responsible for IT Risk and Security in the Americas, for Farmers and ZNA. Prior to that, he served as Chief Security Officer at American General Finance, where he was responsible for establishing converged security functions within a large financial services environment, and as IT Security Officer for the Americas at Bank Julius Baer. Tom Kellermann is the VP of Security Awareness at Core Security Technologies. He's responsible for building Core's relationships with key industry and government partners, and helping to further the acceptance of auditing security defenses to reduce organizations' operational risk. Kellermann formerly held the position of Senior Data Risk Management Specialist the World Bank Treasury Security Team where he was responsible for cyber-intelligence and policy management within the World Bank Treasury. In this role, Tom regularly advised central banks around the world about their cyber-risk posture and layered security architectures. He co-authored the book "E-safety and Soundness: Securing Finance in a New Age." Kellermann is also a professor at American University. Rob Markovich is an entrepreneur, investor, and consultant/advisor to many successful companies, and has a broad understanding of selling network and security systems to enterprises and service providers. Markovich was co-founder and executive at service level management pioneer Visual Networks, helping it grow from zero to $100M in four years and leading it in a highly successful IPO, later acquired by Fluke Networks. In addition, Markovich was co-founder and CEO of wireless security management startup Network Chemistry, later acquired by Aruba Networks. He also co-founded and was Managing Director of the boutique venture capital firm, The Hatch Group, where he made several successful investments in wireless, security, and network management startups.
