TAMPA, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Pilgrim Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of Enterprise Risk, Compliance and Quality Management (ECQM) software solutions, today announced that Clarient, Inc., a leader in cancer diagnostics, has selected Pilgrim Software’s SmartSolve® platform to manage key quality assurance processes for its diagnostic laboratory operations.
Clarient will implement Pilgrim’s integrated software solutions for document control, corrective and preventive action (CAPA) management, internal and external audit management, and employee training and certification. These solutions will efficiently and effectively support Clarient’s ongoing efforts to manage overall compliance (FDA, EMEA, SOX, OSHA, etc.), monitor quality (GxP, ISO, etc.), mitigate potential risk, increase productivity, reduce costs and drive continuous improvement.
“With a continued focus on operational efficiencies throughout our organization, we are taking a proactive approach to quality, compliance and risk management to ensure that regulatory processes continue to be effectively managed while streamlining our efforts through automation,” said Michael Pellini, M.D., Clarient’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “Pilgrim Software offers a flexible and robust system, especially around two key areas -- CAPA and Audit.”
Clarient will implement Pilgrim’s CAPA management solution for addressing CAPAs, as well as customer complaints, and their resolution and reviews. Pilgrim’s document management solution will support automated file management across the QA function, and eventually, other departments, giving Clarient a common enterprise-wide system for improved tracking, visibility and control of key processes.
“Clarient reviewed several options and selected Pilgrim because of our out-of-the-box system that is tried and proven in accordance with industry best practices,” said Prashanth Rajendran, Pilgrim Software’s Chief Operating Officer. “In addition to providing Clarient with automated processes that will support their laboratory operations, our solutions also provide them with the scalability to easily integrate additional modules and multiply the number of users as they expand.”
