ACE Unveils Combined Commercial and Inland Marine Operations for ACE USA

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The ACE Group of insurance and reinsurance companies today announced that it has consolidated its Commercial Marine and Inland Marine business units in ACE USA, its U.S.-based retail operating division. Bruce Jervis has been appointed as Executive Vice President – Commercial & Inland Marine, and will set the overall direction and strategy for this newly-formed unit. Reporting to Mr. Jervis, Bob Gallozzi will continue in his role as Senior Vice President, Commercial Marine, and lead ACE USA’s delivery of Marine Cargo, Hull and Liability strategies to the marketplace. Mr. Jervis will continue to report to Paul McNamee, President, ACE North America Property & Specialty.

Bruce Jervis:
Based in San Francisco, Mr. Jervis most recently served as Senior Vice President of ACE USA’s retail Inland Marine Unit, a position he has held since March 2007, where he led a dedicated retail Inland Marine/Builder’s Risk practice, responsible for developing and driving ACE USA’s retail inland marine strategy. With more than 16 years of insurance industry experience, Mr. Jervis previously held the position of Vice President, Inland Marine, ACE Westchester Specialty. He began his insurance career as an Inland Marine underwriter with a global insurance company. Mr. Jervis received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University, in Ithaca, N.Y.
Bob Gallozzi:
Based in New York City, Bob Gallozzi has more than 30 years of commercial marine underwriting management experience in the insurance arena. He joined an ACE predecessor organization in 1990 as Senior Marine Underwriter and has held several regional roles, including serving as Marine Vice President, Commercial Marine. Prior to his tenure with ACE, Mr. Gallozzi held marine underwriting positions at several global insurance carriers. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Hofstra University, Hempstead, N.Y.
