2021/12/09 – How Public Policy Can Enable Trustworthy AI in Health Care Conference Session Set by America's Health Insurance Plans

WASHINGTON, Oct. 27 (TNSeve) -- America's Health Insurance Plans has scheduled a conference session as part of its Consumer Experience and Digital Health Forum on Dec. 9, 2021, entitled "How Public Policy Can Enable Trustworthy AI in Health Care":

Pat Baird

Regulatory Head of Global Software Standards, Philips; Co-Chair, CTA Artificial Intelligence in Health Care Working Group

Pat Baird works at Philips as the Head of Global Software Standards. Pat likes to think of his job as "Policy Engineering" - understanding the unmet needs (and frustrations) of regulators and developers, and developing standards, whitepapers, and training to meet those needs. Past roles have included software developer, engineering manager, project manager, lead engineer, and Director of Risk Management before getting involved in regulatory & standards. He co-chairs over 10 committees at AdvaMed, AAMI, MITA, Xavier, CTA, and others on topics such as agile software development, cloud services for a regulated environment, and multiple committees on artificial intelligence in healthcare.

* Jon Godfread

Jon Godfread was elected North Dakota's 22nd Insurance Commissioner on Nov. 8, 2016. In service to the citizens of North Dakota, Godfread has prioritized consumer advocacy, ensuring North Dakotans are better aware of the services offered by the North Dakota Insurance Department beyond industry regulation. He has also worked to restructure the Department for efficient and effective use of tax-payer dollars, along with employee satisfaction. On a national level, Godfread has been an active voice in discussions about insurance regulations including the use of technology, air ambulance service and health care reinsurance. He currently chairs the Innovation and Technology Task Force and the Health Care and Managed Care Committee for the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC).

Godfread earned a law degree and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of North Dakota in 2011. He earned his bachelor's degree in business with honors from the University of Northern Iowa in 2005.

* Rajeev Ronanki

Rajeev Ronanki is the President of Digital Platforms at Anthem Inc. where he is reimagining the future of healthcare by harnessing the power of data and artificial intelligence (AI) to provide consumers predictive, proactive, and personalized insights into their health.

Since joining Anthem in 2018, Rajeev has led the organization's digital-first transformation across Digital, AI, Exponential Technology, Service Experience, and Innovation portfolios. In his new role as President, Digital Platforms, Mr. Ronanki will continue to accelerate Anthem's strategy to become a digital platform for health that utilizes a multi-channel approach to connect consumers, providers, employers, ecosystem partners, and more. To achieve this, Rajeev will create and execute the commercialization of Anthem's digital capabilities to reinvent care delivery, operations, and interactions.

Over the last 20 years, Mr. Ronanki's innovation-driven mindset, passion for social change, and in-depth industry knowledge has made him a regular speaker on topics related to navigating the future of healthcare, harnessing data driven insights, and delivering personalized experiences. In November 2021, Rajeev will also publish his first book, You And AI: A Citizen's Guide to AI, Blockchain, and Puzzling Together the Future of Healthcare, which explores how exponential technologies can be integrated into a company's DNA, creating AI-first, blockchain-first, data-first, technology-first digital enterprises for the twenty-first century and beyond.

Mr. Ronanki obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University in India and a Master's Degree in Computer Science from the University of Pennsylvania.
