2021/12/02 – Insurance Information Institute: C-Suite Panel Announced for Joint Industry Forum in NYC

NEW YORK, Oct. 19 (TNSOps) -- The Insurance Information Institute issued the following news release:

Five senior executives will convene on Thursday, Dec. 2, in New York City as part of the 2021 Joint Industry Forum's (JIF) C-Suite Panel on Resilience, the Insurance Information Institute (Triple-I) has announced.

John Huff, president and CEO of the Association of Bermuda Insurers & Reinsurers (ABIR), is the panel's moderator. Its participants will include, in alphabetical order, Richard Creedon, chairman of the board and CEO of the member companies of the Utica National Insurance Group; Paul Horgan, Head of U.S. National Accounts, Zurich North America; John Smith, CPCU, president and CEO, Pennsylvania Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company; and Rohit Verma, CEO, and member of the board of directors, Crawford & Company.

"Businesses, governments, and the public need a resilience mindset as we confront the risks posed by extreme weather, cyber threats, and population shifts into disaster-prone communities," stated Sean Kevelighan, CEO, Triple-I. "Insurers are uniquely positioned to help them achieve it."

Phil Klotzbach, Ph.D., a research scientist in the Department of Atmospheric Science at Colorado State University, and a Triple-I non-resident scholar, will offer introductory remarks at the start of the C-Suite Panel on Resilience. The 2021 JIF is being held at the New York Hilton Midtown, 1335 Avenue of the Americas, New York City.

The daylong JIF program, which brings together the most accomplished thinkers and leaders in insurance, gets underway on Thursday, Dec. 2, at 9:30 a.m. and includes panels on Insurance Economics, Insurer Talent and Recruitment initiatives, and the societal costs of Runaway Litigation.

The in-person event will be conducted in accordance with New York City's Covid-19 protocols.

Registration for the JIF can be done online. The fee is $995 per person. JIF attendees employed by Triple-I-member companies, insurance industry trade associations, and not-for-profit organizations pay a discounted rate.
