2017 United States Independent Insurance Agent Survey: How Carriers Can Compete & Win – ResearchAndMarkets.com
Each year agents are surveyed to find out what they think of their top insurance carriers - what they believe carriers are doing well and where they'd like to see improvement so agents can be more successful. The anonymous survey asks agents what atrributes are most important in a carrier and how their top carriers are performing in those areas. Attributes include underwriting appetite and responsiveness, claims services, technology, marketing, field reps, training, financial strength and brand reputation.
The 2017 survey instrument explored topics including:
- Carrier ratings and rankings - companies with which agents place business and how they rate and rank those carriers on a variety of metrics

- Agents' technology usage - work-related tasks agents expect to perform on a mobile device in the next 12 months
