June 23--Two people from Virginia and a man from Lily were part of a 36-count indictment by the Laurel County Circuit Court on Friday for human trafficking and sodomy charges.

Tina Sawyers, 35, and Albert Sawyers, 41, of Pennington Gap, Virginia, were charged with 12 counts of human trafficking and 12 counts of first-degree complicity to commit sodomy. The human trafficking charges claim that both subjects subjected a child under 12 years old to sexual activity through the use of force or coercion for their personal benefit. The sodomy charges claim that both subjects aided and abetted and failed to prevent James "Buck" Harris, 49, of Lily, from engaging in deviate sexual intercourse with the same child through the use of forcible compulsion.

Harris faces 12 counts of first-degree sodomy for engaging in deviate sexual intercourse through the use of forcible consumption on a child under 12-years-old.

There are no JailTracker records indicating these subjects have been booked for these charges.
