The explosive rise of indexed products: Can they be trusted?

By John Forcucci

The explosive rise of indexed products: Can they be trusted?

Indexed products, both life insurance and annuities, are some of the most popular products with producers and clients. Regulators are very interested in indexed products as well, but for different reasons.

They want to tighten the reins on both indexes and related illustrations used to sell these products. What will the end result look like? Our expert panel will discuss this and many other issues related to these popular products.

The sales landscape is changing fast, with potential disruptions from the economy, regulations and distribution all converging at once.

We will cover the trends in indexed products and sales and highlight what to look for in the coming years. Our guests bring a wealth of experience in financial services and indexed product sales. Topics to be discussed include:

  • Why do indexed products sell so well?
  • How do indexed products really work?
  • What is the prognosis for indexed products given the uncertain economy?
  • How are proprietary indexes changing the sales landscape?
  • Will technology and regulation help or hurt indexed sales?
