MDRT advisors share 2024 advice
As we enter a new calendar year, it is time to reflect on past accomplishments and look forward to what can be achieved in the next 12 months. MDRT members have advice to help you make the most of 2024, from client relations to tracking your business.
Consider their advice below as you gear up for the year ahead!
Stacy L. Kahan, CLU, RFC
30-year MDRT member, United States
My advice for 2024 is to prepare your forecasting and budgeting. Spend time every month, after you close the books, to evaluate.
Plan your marketing strategy focus. Then, prepare assets, sequencing and nurture campaigns around this messaging. Track the engagement and be willing to change course if needed.
Jake Lim Wei Lun
6-year MDRT member, Singapore
I would recommend, other than wishing them a happy new year, encouraging your client or prospect to share a financial resolution with you. Inform them you are the “get it done” coach committed to kick-starting and creating plans to help them achieve their goals.
This gesture gives your client or prospect a good incentive to catch up with you and assures an appointment at both the start and end of the year.
Simon D. Lister
16-year MDRT member, United Kingdom
My advice for the new year is to look at all your processes and review them for efficiencies. We all tend to be very good at adding new steps to streamline work, but it’s equally important to identify what no longer serves your needs and may be holding you back.
Another strategy is to clearly identify who you want to work with this year. Describe your ideal client and include traits that make them the best fit for you. Make sure it is written down.
Domenick D’Andrea, AIF, CRC, CPFA
7-year MDRT member, U.S.
AI is becoming a great way to help create content for email marketing and social media. Personally, I use Nitrogen AI, a resource offered by the Nitrogen risk platform. I start by entering a few sentences and the technology will build this into a few paragraphs in a matter of minutes.
Leveraging AI not only saves time by aiding my creativity but also from hiring a content creator to handle work I could be doing. I thoroughly recommend utilizing some form of AI in content creation, as it is becoming increasingly accessible.
