WINDSOR, Conn., Jan. 24 -- LIMRA issued the following news release:

A panel of senior industry leaders will address more than 400 sales, marketing and distribution professionals at LIMRA's 2013 Distribution Conference on Feb. 20-22, 2013, in Orlando Fla.

"The key driver of growth has always been strong distribution," said James Kerley, president of LIMRA Services. "A recent LIMRA/McKinsey study revealed that sales capacity for our industry continues to be an issue as the average age of today's experienced producers is over 50 and there are few plans for transition to the next generation of advisors. In order to reach the 58 million American households who are underinsured, our industry will have to find creative, out-of the box ideas to innovate and grow distribution."

The panel, moderated by Kerley, will discuss the current state of distribution, examining some of the creative initiatives in distribution that have been launched and how they may transform the industry. The panelists include: Randall H. Harbert, CLU, executive vice president and chief agency and marketing officer, State Farm Insurance Companies; Catherine L. Honor, president, RBC Insurance Services, Inc.; and Duane M. Morrow, chief marketing officer and executive vice president, Primerica Life Insurance Company

LIMRA's Distribution Conference typically draws more than 400 sales, marketing and distribution leaders in the life insurance and financial services industries. The event provides a unique opportunity for attendees to share their experience and knowledge with their colleagues and counterparts and gain strategic insights on all distribution channels from industry experts.
