ELCO Mutual Welcomes Carolyn Covington and Cynthia Tidwell to the Board of Directors

ELCO Mutual is proud to announce the addition of Cynthia Tidwell and Carolyn Covington,
FSA, MAAA, CERA to its Board of Directors.

Cynthia Tidwell is an incredibly accomplished leader who spent her career guiding insurers
through innovative transformations. Her latest leadership role was at Royal Neighbors
of America, one of the nation’s largest women-led life insurers. In 2005, she was appointed
President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The company saw extraordinary growth under
her leadership. Assets grew by over $1.2 billion as the organization transformed by enhancing
revenue and operational efficiencies through a comprehensive digital strategy.

Carolyn Covington is an accomplished actuary who has worked with a multitude of carriers.
She is currently the Vice President of Experience Analysis at SCOR Life & Health, a global tier 1
reinsurer. Formerly, she held the title of Vice President at the actuarial firm, Miller-Newberg.
Carolyn is a fellow in the Society of Actuaries (SOA), a member of the American Academy of
Actuaries, and a member of the Mortality and Longevity Program Steering Committee for the
SOA.
