Zurich Insurance to showcase new revenue generating sales and training offerings at NADA 2019

PR Newswire

SCHAUMBURG, Ill., Jan. 24, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Zurich North America arrives in San Francisco today for the National Automobile Dealers Association NADA Expo 2019. The global insurance company, one of the largest providers of Finance and Insurance (F&I) products and consultative training for auto dealerships in the United States, will showcase its continued product expansion with new direct marketing and service lane program offerings; and a new Zurich University training portal.

"We are excited to meet face to face with auto dealers at NADA and to share with them the Zurich Advantage, a platform of new offerings developed to increase the bottom lines of auto dealers," said Vince Santivasi, head of Direct Markets for Zurich North America. "Zurich is committed to helping our customers succeed and continuously improve their financial results. As part of this commitment, we have focused on developing income generating programs that can impact more than just the F&I office."

A robust new direct marketing program is now available for auto dealers to help sell vehicle service contracts (VSCs) and other products to car buyers who did not elect to purchase at the time of sale; and for the car buyers whose existing vehicle service contracts are approaching expiration. This program combines targeted marketing offers, a professional call center, and a data-driven approach to boost the adoption of protection products. And following a recent pilot, Zurich is now offering auto dealers a service lane sales program, which - through the use of innovative new technology and a robust service lane selling system - lays the needed groundwork for selling a VSC while car owners are in for service.

To expand its online training platform, Zurich has created Zurich University to house its entire menu of interactive online training modules for auto dealership employees. On the portal, they can find new offerings such as F&I sales training and the online components of Service Advisor Training with Steve Shaw, as well as existing trainings on compliance and harassment; and discrimination. Auto dealers can assign, measure and document the trainings to ensure maximum efficiency right from the portal.

"Our customers have asked for multiple training platforms," added Santivasi. "In response we are delivering with online opportunities.  Our in-person Service Advisor Training with Steve Shaw and our renowned F&I seminars, also add value for our automotive dealer customers."

Zurich launched its Service Advisor Training with Steve Shaw last summer to help enhance processes, improve repair order performance and motivate service advisors. As Zurich's first expansion into the service lane, the Steve Shaw training topics include why customers buy, multipoint inspections selling system, creating presentations, and menu selling among others. In addition to the online training option, the service advisor training program held more than 40 training events across the United States in 2018.  A full slate of service advisor training sessions across the country is currently being scheduled for 2019.

Training Workshops and Demonstrations at the Booth

Zurich's booth is 5259N in the North exhibition hall. There, NADA attendees have the opportunity to talk with the Zurich team and learn about the Zurich Advantage. Zurich will hold service advisor training 10-minute mini workshops with Steve Shaw: four per day on Friday and Saturday at NADA. Steve also will be available after each workshop to answer questions. See the schedule of Steve Shaw's NADA mini workshops at http://zurichna.com/NADA

Also on Friday and Saturday at the booth from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., several Zurich vendors will be on hand for demonstrations and to discuss how Zurich's new offerings help dealerships generate more revenue.

Zurich can trace its roots in the U.S. automotive industry back to 1922 with the founding of Universal Underwriters. Today Zurich provides commercial insurance, F&I products and services, consultative training services, Streamlined Selling System® illuminate, income development technology, compliance resources and reinsurance programs to the automotive retail industry segment including franchised auto dealerships.

Zurich is one of the largest insurance providers of franchised auto dealers in the United States and one of the top providers of F&I products and services. Learn more at http://zurichna.com/en/industries/auto/dealerships
