XL Catlin Names New Global Practice Leader for Casualty Claims

HARTFORD, Connecticut, Jan. 28, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- XL Catlin's Global Claims operation has appointed Cynthia Koehler as Global Practice Leader for Casualty claims.  In her new role, Ms. Koehler is responsible for overseeing a global casualty claims team of technical practice leaders that drive the resolution of XL Catlin's largest, most complex casualty claims. Based in Hartford, Ms. Koehler reports to XL Catlin's Global Head of Claims Anthony Vidovich.

Ms. Koehler's global responsibilities include establishing best practices across XL Catlin's casualty claims team, monitoring XL Catlin's casualty loss exposures, providing guidance on technical claims decisions, emerging claims exposure trends and subrogation activity.

Ms. Koehler spent the bulk of her career at Liberty Mutual where she most recently served as vice president and assistant general counsel.  She brings nearly three decades of claims management, arbitration and litigation experience.  She is a graduate of Colby College in Waterville, Maine and Georgetown University Law Center, Washington, DC.
