WoodmenLife donation pays for firefighters’ helmets
Moultrie Observer (GA)
Oct. 1--MOULTRIE, Ga. -- Members of WoodmenLife made a financial donation totaling $11,250 to Moultrie Fire Chief Jeff ThibodeauSept. 25 to purchase new fire helmets for all City of Moultrie firefighters.
WoodmenLife is a family-oriented not-for-profit insurance company.
"Many of our helmets are over ten years old," Thibodeau said. "Without this donation, it would take us two to three years to replace our fire helmets without depleting the budget."
Thibodeau will begin the ordering process this week.
"The new helmets will be a safety upgrade compared to our current helmets, and safer for our firefighters," he said.
