Walker & Dunlop Welcomes Senior Housing Expert

BETHESDA, Md., Oct. 2, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Walker & Dunlop, Inc. announced today that it hired Michael Davis as Senior Vice President in its FHA Finance group. Based out of Walker & Dunlop's Charlotte office, Mr. Davis is responsible for originating multifamily loans through the lending programs of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Fannie Mae, and Freddie Mac, with a focus in senior housing and healthcare finance.

The need for senior housing is projected to continue its upward trend, driven by the baby boomer demographic. Numbered at 74 million, baby boomers are the largest living adult generation in the United States¹. As this generation continues to age, appetite for senior housing facilities is expected to escalate in the coming years. Walker & Dunlop has become an industry leader in senior housing and healthcare finance and is focused on continuing to grow its presence in this space to better serve this portion of the population. Mr. Davis will be instrumental in continuing to meet the increased demands for the multifamily and healthcare sub-sectors.

Prior to joining Walker & Dunlop, Mr. Davis was a managing director at Silver Leaf Partners and held a principal role in sourcing debt and equity for real estate, private equity, and affordable housing acquisition programs. Mr. Davis brings nearly 30 years of commercial real estate expertise to Walker & Dunlop's established HUD healthcare financing team where he will be supported by a team of four senior underwriters who specialize in HUD healthcare loans.
