DSCC Launches Two Ads Highlighting Scott's Self-Serving Politics

"Truth" and "Blind" detail how Scott has used his position as governor to enrich himself and why Floridians can't trust him to tell the truth.

Today the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is releasing two new digital advertisements, "Truth" and "Blind," both highlighting how Rick Scott is prioritizing his own self-serving politics at the expense of Floridians.

"Truth" details Scott's long record of misleading Floridians to advance his own agenda, and "Blind" shows how Scott may be using his position as governor to enrich himself through a secretive financial account, his so called blind trust.

"Rick Scott has only ever looked out for one person: himself," said David Bergstein of the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee. "In order to advance his agenda Scott's shown he'll mislead Floridians, abuse his position as governor to make himself richer, and help his political donors and cronies at Floridians' expense. He'll say and do anything to benefit himself, which is why Floridians just don't trust Scott to look out for them."

More information about Scott's record is available here. http://www.dscc.org/self-serving-rick-scott/

TRUTH: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BFb-9AYKnE0&feature=youtu.be

BLIND: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8XK_08f2S5k&feature=youtu.be

TRUTH:

Rick Scott: It looks like my signature but -- what's your question?

Announcer: Rick Scott can't tell the truth.

Announcer: He refused to tell the truth 75 times under oath when he led a company that was fined 1.7 billion for committing the largest Medicare fraud in history.

Announcer: He hid the truth by deleting voicemails on his cell phone during the recent nursing home tragedy.

Announcer: He has avoided telling the full truth about how he's increased his personal wealth by 46 million dollars while governor.

Announcer: Let's face it, Rick Scott just can't tell the truth.

BLIND:

Announcer: Is Rick Scott using the governor's office to enrich himself? He's had a close business partner manage his so called blind trust, something prohibited for federal office holders.

Announcer: He's a walking conflict of interest, taking actions as governor to help entities doing business in Florida that he's owned stock in.

Announcer: One company he owned just sold for $825 million, but he won't tell us how much he personally made -- hiding behind a secretive blind trust.

Announcer: Rick Scott: is he in it for Florida, or himself?
