UnitedHealthcare Community Plan of New Jersey has appointed Jocelyn Chisholm Carter as its CEO, it announced recently.
Carter has been with the Minnesota-based insurer for the past 13 years. Most recently, she served as the CEO of the Community Plan of Mississippi. In her new role, she will manage all aspects of clinical, quality and operation effectiveness, as well as maintain contract compliance and leverage relationships with state partners.
Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, she served as an assistant district attorney in New York City.
UnitedHealthcare is one of the largest providers of health insurance to New Jersey residents. Last year, it signed a deal with Hackensack Meridian Health to form the Accountable Care Program, which uses data and technology to better coordinate patient care, manage chronic health conditions and address missed patient care opportunities.
