PR Web

Freehold, NJ (PRWEB) August 08, 2016

Davison, Eastman & Muñoz, P.A. is pleased to announce that effective August 1, 2016, Matthew K. Blaine and Blake R. Laurence have been named partner.

"We're proud of both Matt and Blake for their dedicated service to our clients and to the firm over the past several years. They have worked hard for these promotions," said James A. Paone II, the firm's managing partner.

Matthew K. Blaine focuses his practice on business law and litigation, commercial law and employment law. His broad experience has involved numerous business disputes throughout the Northeast for plaintiffs and defendants on complex commercial cases that encompass contractual and business disputes, business torts, fiduciary responsibilities, and construction litigation. He also advises on transactional matters, including business formation, acquisition, merger/consolidation and dissolution.

Also as chair of the firm's Technology and Innovation Committee, Matt spearheads the firm's technological advancements. He joined the firm in 2009 following a clerkship with the Honorable Linda G. Baxter, Superior Court of New Jersey, Appellate Division (2008-2009). He received a J.D. from Rutgers School of Law in 2008 and a B.A. in Political Science from Rutgers University in 2004.

Blake R. Laurence, a member of the firm's Tax and Estate Planning Department, is experienced in all aspects of estate planning, administration, litigation, taxation, IRS tax issues, corporate transactions and landlord-tenant work. His estate planning services include lifetime and end-of-life planning and related document preparation such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives, as well as lifetime giving, charitable planning, and business succession matters. Blake represents families with complex estate and trust administration issues and individuals who serve as executor, trustee and guardian.

Blake assists nonprofit organizations, for-profit corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships and their principals with matters such as entity formation, preparation of governing documents, authorizing resolutions, mergers and dissolutions.

Blake joined the firm in 2006. He received a J.D. from Widener University School of Law and a Master of Laws degree in Taxation from Villanova University School of Law. He obtained an undergraduate degree in Finance from American University. Prior to joining the firm, he was a law clerk for the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
