Today at the SC State House: Forgiving hurricane school days
Today, the K-12 subcommittee of the House education and public works committee will consider H.3515, a bill that will waive up to five days for counties "for which major federal disaster declarations were made" after Hurricane Matthew struck the state and caused flooding last October.
Waivers can be sought regardless of whether the district also has to make up school days due to snow or other disruptions during the 2016-17 school year.
