The Vanderbeck Agency Joins Special Olympics of NY/Long Island in Charity Drive to Benefit Children and Adults with Special Needs

PR Web

East Norwich, NY (PRWEB) June 21, 2017

The Vanderbeck Agency, a provider of insurance management and personal financial planning services for residents of the greater Nassau County region, is embarking on a community wide charity drive to help raise local funds and support for the Long Island chapter of the Special Olympics.

Special Olympics of NY/Long Island works to change lives and improve outcomes for differently abled adults and children through a series of athletic programs that promote acceptance, understanding, and inclusion for those with disabilities. Participants in Special Olympics events are able to experience the thrill of professional sporting events, build self-confidence, and create lasting friendships with peers and community mentors.

"We're calling on all our friends and neighbors in Long Island to join us as we support the Special Olympics and help create opportunities for all children and adults with intellectual disabilities in our community," says Brandon Vanderbeck, principal agent and executive director of the Vanderbeck Agency.

Vanderbeck and his team are utilizing a series of online forums to share information and gather support from the Long Island community, including both social media channels and a dedicated email bulletin. Future plans to generate exposure for the Special Olympics charity event will include a cover story scheduled for release in an upcoming issue of "Our Hometown," the Vanderbeck Agency's online local interest magazine: http://vanderbeckagency.com/magazines/.

The Special Olympics of NY/Long Island charity event is the third major charitable organization supported by the Vanderbeck Agency since late last year. Vanderbeck and his team are dedicated members of a national charity support web called "Agents of Change," and plan to work with a new Long Island charity every 90 days.

All readers who wish to take action and be part of the regional charity event to support Special Olympics of NY/Long Island are encouraged by the Vanderbeck team to find out more by visiting this page: http://vanderbeckagency.com/causes/time-focus-abilities-not-disabilities/. A full list of charitable causes supported by the Vanderbeck Agency team can be accessed from the company's frequently updated Community Causes page: http://vanderbeckagency.com/community/.
