HARTFORD, Conn. (AP) _ The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc. (HIG) on Thursday reported third-quarter earnings of $339 million.
On a per-share basis, the Hartford, Connecticut-based company said it had profit of $1.02. Earnings, adjusted for non-recurring costs, were $1.44 per share.
The results exceeded Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of seven analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of $1.29 per share.
The insurance and financial services company posted revenue of $5.58 billion in the period. Its adjusted revenue was $3.83 billion.
