The Hanover Enters the Pennsylvania Personal Lines Insurance Market

(NYSE: THG) announced it has expanded its business in Pennsylvania to include personal lines insurance and has appointed a group of the top independent agents in the Commonwealth to serve its growing customer base.
The company's innovative personal lines offering includes Hanover Platinum Protection, a package of insurance coverages designed to protect a broad customer base, from individuals with simple coverage needs to those with more complex coverage needs. The Hanover's launch in Pennsylvania supports the company's ongoing strategy to expand its footprint and offer its agent partners a full suite of insurance solutions for their clients.
"We have a very successful commercial lines business in Pennsylvania, working with some of the Commonwealth's best agents and we intend to leverage those business relationships to launch our personal lines business," said Daniel C. Halsey, president, personal lines, at The Hanover. "As we continue to expand our personal lines footprint, Pennsylvania is an important market for us given its high-caliber independent agents and attractive customer base.
