STACY GARRITY SUPPORTS SKYROCKETING HEALTHCARE COSTS AND 177,000 PENNSYLVANIANS LOSING THEIR HEALTHCARE

States News Service

The following information was released by the Pennsylvania Democratic Party:

Pennsylvanians are seeing the devastating impact of Garrity's agenda and know she cannot be trusted to stand up for our healthcare

PENNSYLVANIA The number of Pennsylvanians who have been forced to drop their health insurance due to Donald Trump and MAGA Republicans' healthcare cuts surpassed 177,000 this month, and even as more and more Pennsylvanians have been forced to make impossible decisions "between health coverage and rent, food and utilities," Garrity is still all in on her "support for federal policies raising healthcare costs."

"Stacy Garrity is a MAGA loyalist who said Trump's healthcare cuts were 'absolutely the right thing to do' even as Pennsylvanians continue to lose their health insurance," said Ava Pitruzzello, spokesperson for the Pennsylvania Democratic Party. "Garrity will always be a rubber stamp for Trump's failed agenda that has only made life harder and more expensive, and she will never stand up for our Commonwealth."

Here's the timeline of Garrity's support for higher healthcare premiums as Pennsylvanians were forced to drop their insurance:

When Trump and congressional Republicans chose not to extend the ACA tax credits at the end of 2025, Garrity said that it was "absolutely the right thing to do" and she had "100% confidence" that Republicans were "going down the right path" despite multiple reports that insurance premiums were set to more than double in the new year.

After Pennie announced that 85,000 Pennsylvanians nearly 1 in 5 enrollees dropped their health insurance during the open enrollment period due to premiums doubling thanks to legislation Garrity endorsed, Garrity doubled down in a TV interview on her support for the cruel Washington policies that caused healthcare costs to skyrocket.

As the number of Pennsylvanians being forced to drop their insurance jumps up every month since open enrollment ended from 130,000 in April to more than 160,000 in the first week of June to now more than 177,000 in July Garrity has been called out for "not hav[ing] the courage to stand up for Pennsylvanians" facing rising healthcare costs as Garrity proves she will always put her loyalty to Trump's disastrous agenda over standing up for the Commonwealth.
