Southland crime: Pizza thrown at woman during argument, and more

Jul. 28—COUNTRY CLUB HILLS

BATTERY: Armoni M. Grant, 20, 17700 block of Rosewood Terrace, Country Club Hills, was charged with battery July 15 in the 4700 block of 179th Street after punching a woman in the face, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Quaan Smith, 31, Chicago, was arrested and accused of retail theft July 16 at the Walmart Supercenter, 4005 168th Place, after stealing merchandise selling for $1,488 and also served with a Cook County warrant for failing to appear in court on a retail-theft charge, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Jalen A. Thomas, 21, 3600 block of School Drive, Country Club Hills, was charged with domestic battery July 17 in that block, police said.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Jasmine L. Wilson, 30, Chicago, was arrested and accused of disorderly conduct July 17 at the BR Bar and Steakhouse, 18601 Cicero Ave., after "indiscriminately" spraying pepper spray during a melee in the parking lot, police said.

VANDALISM: Edward Loggins, 39, 1100 block of Amherst Lane, University Park, was arrested and accused of criminally damaging property, and Deshanele J. James, 35, Chicago, and Pheona Snowden, 38, 100 block of Hemlock Street, Park Forest, were cited for fighting during a July 18 skirmish in the 17900 block of Poplar Lane, police said.

TRESPASSING: Brandon McCann-Carter, 36, 4900 block of 179th Street, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of trespassing during A July 18 retail-theft investigation at the BP Gas Station, 18300 Cicero Avenue police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Christyiona T. Clasberry, 24, 17700 block of Rosewood Terrace, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and aggravated speeding during a July 19 stop for driving 60 mph in a 30 mph zone, police said.

HOMEWOOD

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Damarco J. Minor, 19, 15200 block of Wabash Avenue, South Holland, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license July 13 at 191st Street and Riegel Road, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Courtney Kimbrough, 40, 16800 block of Trapet Avenue, Hazel Crest, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license and improper parking in the roadway July 14 at 175th Street and Dixie Highway, police said.

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Erykah N. Lee, 23, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license, driving without insurance and improperly displaying license plates/sticker July 14 at 183rd Street and Harwood Avenue, police said.

NO LICENSE: Korry D. Reed, 23, 22400 block of Arquilla Drive, Richton Park, was arrested July 14 at 183rd Street and Governors Highway and accused of driving without a valid license, driving without insurance, disregarding a traffic-control device and possessing an undisclosed amount of cannabis in an unapproved container in a motor vehicle, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Tonu Hurey, 48, 14900 block of Hoyne Avenue, Harvey, was arrested and accused of retail theft July 16 at Menards, 17545 Halsted St., after stealing merchandise selling for $567.38, police said.

WEAPON ARREST: Darion Harper, 20, 18500 block of Poplar Avenue, Homewood, was arrested and accused of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon after he was found to have a firearm without a gun permit or concealed carry license during a July 17 speeding stop in the 17900 block of Halsted Street, police said.

OAK LAWN

FLEEING POLICE: Deandre M. Collins, 23, undisclosed block of Parkside Avenue, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of fleeing/attempting to elude arrest after officers attempted to cite him for illegally using a cellphone while driving and not wearing a seat belt July 13 at 111th Street and Parkside Avenue, Chicago Ridge, police said. Officers stopped pursuing Collins when the chase speed reached 88 mph on 103rd Street, which has a posted speed limit of 30 mph, police said.

ROAD RAGE: Shaquille P. Collins, 28 undisclosed block of 9th Street, Broadview, was arrested and accused of criminally damaging property during a July 14 traffic-related altercation at 95th Street and Cook Avenue after punching the side mirror of a motorist who had cut him off, police said.

NO LICENSE: Carlos Arellano, 54, Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license and also served with a Cook County warrant for failing to appear in court on a traffic charge July 15 in the 10100 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

ILLEGAL GUN: Michael S. Hall, 34, Shorewood, was charged by the Cook County state's attorney's office with being an armed habitual criminal and was also accused of trespassing and disorderly conduct July 15 in a motel parking lot in the 9300 block of Cicero Avenue after officers responding to a complaint that he had recovered a 9 mm handgun from a nearby parking lot, police said.

CAR BURGLARY: Cash was reported stolen from an unlocked car parked in a driveway July 15 in the 4000 block of 109th Street, police said.

DUI: Raul A. Campos, 30, Chicago, was arrested and accused of aggravated drunken driving, driving on a license suspended for drunken driving, driving without insurance, disregarding a red light and failing to reduce speed to avoid a collision during a July 16 three-car crash investigation at 87th Street and Cicero Avenue, police said.

ROBBERY: A man wearing a hoodie and brandishing what appeared to be a handgun grabbed an envelope containing a paycheck made out to cash July 16 from a man exiting a currency exchange in the 9500 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

CAR THEFT: A 2014 Jeep Grand SUV was stolen the night of July 15-16 from Webb Chevrolet's enclosed used-car lot by thieves who entered by breaking a window, used a "programming machine" to operate the vehicle and then employed bolt cutters to defeat the locked gate.

DUI: Ann K. Judge, 35, Chicago, was arrested and accused of drunken driving July 17 in the 11000 block of Kilpatrick Avenue, police said.

NO LICENSE: Julian C. Soria, 20, undisclosed block of Main Street, Hometown, was arrested and accused of driving without a valid license, driving without insurance, reckless driving, street racing and speeding July 18 at 87th Street and Nagle Avenue, Burbank, police said.

DUI: Gerald J. Wilson, 40, undisclosed block of Parkside Avenue, Chicago Ridge, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, disregarding a red light and three counts of improper lane use July 18 in the 9800 block of Cicero Avenue, police said.

THEFT: A catalytic converter was reported stolen July 18 from an SUV parked in an apartment building lot in the 7100 block of 93rd Street. ###

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Ashley Dawson, 33, of Joliet, was arrested and accused of aggravated speeding after a July 6 stop at 143rd Street and Bell Road, police said.

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Jeremy Bryant, 29, of Calumet City, was arrested and accused of aggravated speeding July 6 at 151st and Gougar Road, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: Someone broke into a home in the 16000 block of 151st Street and stole fine jewelry and handguns July 6.

PLAYGROUND FIRE: Northwest Homer Firefighters were called to extinguish what police believe to be an intentional fire set at Goodings Grove School, 12914 W. 143rd St., on July 9. The playground slide was damaged.

NEW LENOX

SUSPENDED LICENSE: Miguel Herrera, 49, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of driving on a suspended license July 20 at West Maple Street and North Vine Street, police said.

REVOKED LICENSE: Phillip Vitullo, 60, of the 700 block of Red Oak, University Park, was arrested and accused of driving on a revoked license July 22 in the 400 block of Nelson Road, police said.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Jennifer Decamp, 29, of the 1600 block of Edmonds Avenue, New Lenox, was arrested and accused of domestic battery after a July 22 incident at her home, police said.

OAK FOREST

CAR BURGLARY: A man told police an iPhone was stolen from his car when it was parked in the 6900 block of Heritage Circle on July 18.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Police said someone fired a BB gun into a car parked in the 15200 block of Geoffrey Road on July 18.

DOMESTIC BATTERY: Veronica Palmer, 48, of the 5200 block of 155th St., Oak Forest, was arrested and accused of domestic battery after a July 19 incident at her home, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Kristen Zepeda, 27, of the 9200 block of Menard Street, Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of two counts of retail theft and driving on a suspended license and no insurance after stealing alcohol from Jewel-Osco, 5616 W. 159th St., July 19 in the 5600 block of 159th Street, police said. Matthew Dawson, 27, of Burbank, was arrested and accused of two counts of retail theft following the incident, police said.

HOME BURGLARY: Police said someone burglarized a home in the 15600 block of Rob Roy Drive on July 24. The victim told police he came home and discovered his upstairs bedroom ransacked. The homeowner told police he did not believe anything was stolen.

PALOS HEIGHTS

AGGRAVATED SPEEDING: Ricky Renteria, 20, of Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of aggravated speeding July 19 in the 13900 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

WEAPONS ARREST: Hani Buirat, 29, of Oak Lawn, was arrested and accused of unlawful use of weapons, no insurance and no front registration plate after police found a loaded handgun in their car on July 24 in the 11900 block of Ridgeland Avenue, police said.

PALOS HILLS

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Police said someone slashed two car tires on a car parked in the 8500 block of 103rd Terrace on July 20.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE: Someone in the 8100 block of Willow Drive told police someone damaged their windshield by firing three BB gun pellets into it July 21.

STOLEN CAR: Police said someone stole a Jeep Grand Cherokee from a parking lot in the 8500 block of 100th Terrace on July 22.

STOLEN CAR: A Honda Civic was stolen from the 7900 block of 103rd Street on July 23.

DUI ARREST: Dominic Serpian, 39, of Brookfield, was arrested and accused of drunken driving, leaving the scene of an accident and was ticketed for other traffic offenses July 25 in the 11100 block of Roberts Road, police said.

WILL COUNTY EAST TOWNSHIPS

STOLEN CAR: Police said someone stole a 2014 SUV Range Rover from the 23000 block of Raymond Drive in Crete Township while the owner was watching a soccer game on July 11. The car was left unlocked with the keys inside.

WILL COUNTY NEW LENOX AND FRANKFORT TOWNSHIP

CAR BURGLARY: Police said two unknown people were captured on video surveillance stealing credit and gift cards from a car parked in the 1200 block of Edmonds Avenue in New Lenox on July 7.

ORLAND PARK

BATTERY ARREST: Jonathan Dean, 18, of the 4200 block of 187th Place, Country Club Hills, was arrested and accused of battery after attacking an employee at Zuminez in Orland Square Mall on July 16, police said.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Abdel Ramahi, 31, of Chicago, was arrested and accused of disorderly conduct, reckless driving and unlawful stopping on a roadway after a July 16 stop on Regent Drive, police said.

DRUG ARREST: Rayshawn Hampton, 27, of Glenwood, was arrested and accused of possession of a controlled substance and disorderly conduct after throwing a pizza at a woman during argument inside Giordano's, 14325 LaGrange Road, on July 16, police said.

RETAIL THEFT: Sheri Spencer, 48, of the 0-100 block of Berk Lane, Crete, was arrested and accused of retail theft after stealing merchandise from Jewel-Osco, 9350 W. 159th St., on July 17, police said.
