Sen. Heitkamp Introduces Bill on Annual Fee on Health Insurance Providers

WASHINGTON, Oct. 20 -- Sen. Heidi Heitkamp, D-N.D., has introduced legislation (S. 1978) to "delay the annual fee on health insurance providers until 2020 and to make such fee tax-deductible."
The bill was introduced on Oct. 18 and was co-sponsored by Sens. Jeanne Shaheen, D-N.H., and Joe Donnelly, D-Ind. It was referred to the Senate Finance Committee.
