Sen. Cassidy Issues Statement on NFIP Reauthorization

WASHINGTON, Nov. 3 -- The office of Sen. Bill Cassidy, R-La., issued the following statement after House Majority Whip Steve Scalise, R-La. and House Financial Services Committee Chairman Jeb Hensarling, R-Texas, announced an agreement to improve and reauthorize the National Flood Insurance Program:
"I thank Whip Scalise and Chairman Hensarling for making progress towards a comprehensive, long-term reauthorization of the National Flood Insurance Program. This is a step in the right direction.
"I will continue to work towards a sustainable and affordable NFIP for Louisiana families."
