WASHINGTON, March 26 -- Sen. Sherrod Brown, D-Ohio, issued the following statement on reports that the Department of Justice told a federal appeals court that it supports invalidating the entire Affordable Care Act:
Brown has long fought to preserve Ohioans' healthcare, despite this administration's repeated attempts to deny coverage to millions of hardworking Americans with preexisting conditions.
"With yesterday's DOJ filing, President Trump has made it clear that he will stop at nothing to repeal the Affordable Care Act - even if it means ripping coverage away from millions of Americans and leading our country back to a time where we treated individuals with preexisting conditions like second class citizens.
"We will not stand for this. Together, we will fight back."
