Schumer Statement On Trump Administration Asking The Supreme Court To Repeal The Affordable Care Act
Washington, D.C.-- Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer today released following statement in response to the Trump administration-backed legal effort at the Supreme Court to repeal the Affordable Care Act (ACA) in Texas v. U.S. lawsuit:
"Americans should look at what the Trump administration and Republicans do--not what they say--on health care. Republicans remain unflinching in their cruel and callous campaign to eliminate Americans' health care coverage, even as the country faces down the biggest global health crisis in recent history.
"And in the same way the Trump administration failed in its response to the coronavirus, Republicans continue to undermine the country's health and well-being by seeking to strip lifesaving pre-existing condition protections from millions. Democrats will continue to fight to protect Americans' health care and the improvements won in the Affordable Care Act against Republicans' sabotage efforts."
