Sara E. (Etheridge) Norman, 85, formerly of Blue Bell, PA, passed away December 27, 2018, at Spring House Estates in Lower Gwynedd, PA, where she had resided for the last 12 years. She passed away on what would have been the 66th wedding anniversary to her late husband, Rev. Robert E. Norman. He passed away in 2005.
Born April 19, 1933, in Norfolk, VA, she was the daughter of the late Kennieth and Caroline (Smith) Etheridge. She was a graduate of Granby High School, attended Mary Washington College, and was employed for many years in the insurance industry as a claims adjuster.
Mrs. Norman was a member of Bethel Hill United Methodist Church of Lansdale, PA. She played the organ and the piano for most of her life. She enjoyed gardening, long walks, and music. She was happiest when she was with her children and grandchildren. In her later years, she enjoyed reminiscing over old photos of family and friends.
Surviving are five children, Deborah N. Stamm and her husband, Richard, of Haverford, PA, Susan E. Chinnici and her husband, Joseph, of Rehoboth Beach, DE, Mary Ann Norman and her spouse, Lisa Baird, of Lititz, PA, Stephen E. Norman and his wife, April, of Lititz, PA, and Caroline M. Albright and her husband, David, of Houston, TX. She is also survived by a brother, Kennieth Etheridge and his wife, Beckie, of Laurinburg, NC; eleven grandchildren, Brian and his wife Kristin, Michael and his wife Alexis, Allison, Jonathan and his wife Lauren, Katie and her husband Mike, Bailey, Ethan, Riley, Andrew, Ryan and Austin; and six great grandchildren, Maisie, Madeline, Sawyer, Ryder, Ella and Hailey.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at 11AM at Spring House Estates Auditorium, 728 Norristown Road, Lower Gwynedd, PA, on January 3, 2019. Viewing will be private for family as will the burial at Bethel Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory to Spring House Estates Samaritan Fund should be sent to Acts Legacy Foundation, P. O. Box 90, 375 Morris Road, West Point, PA, 19468-0090.
