NHTSA Awards Five-Star Rating to Britax ClickTight Convertible Car Seats

Industry safety experts such as the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS), the Ecology Center and the leading consumer publication all awarded Britax top honors in categories such as clean chemical composition, ease of use, and overall safety.

NHTSA Awarded Five-Star Rating to Britax Car Seats
NHTSA independently tested major car seat brands and rated them on ease of installation, ease of securing the child into the seat and the usability of instructions. Five Britax seats received the highest rating of Five Stars for ease-of-use*, including the B-Safe 35 Elite, B-Safe 35 infant car seats and all three ClickTight convertible car seats, in the forward-facing configuration. In addition, Britax's entire line of Harness-2-Booster seats were awarded NHTSA Five Stars in 2013.

Britax Boosters are IIHS "Best Bets"
After rigorous testing, the IIHS bestowed its highest possible rating on every one of Britax's booster seats. The Frontier ClickTight, Pinnacle ClickTight, and Pioneer Harness-2-Booster seats (in belt-positioning booster mode) as well as the Parkway SGL and Parkway SG belt-positioning boosters all achieved the rating of "Best Bet." These wins further cement Britax's leadership in the category.

The Ecology Center Rates Britax #1 in Chemical Policy
The Ecology Center (HealthyStuff.org) tested the chemical composition of leading car seats to discover potentially harmful chemicals. The Britax seats were ranked first among the car seat companies tested because of Britax's comprehensive policy regarding chemicals in our products and our elimination of halogenated flame retardant chemicals. Based on these results, HealthyStuff.org designated Britax the "Best Overall Child Seat Company" regarding chemical policy.

Leading Consumer Publication Ranks Britax #1 and #2
The Marathon ClickTight and Boulevard ClickTight Convertible seats topped the leading consumer publication's list of best convertible car seats. In fact, seven Britax products made the top ten, including first and second place!
