Rosendale Announces National Committee Assignments

HELENA, Mont., Jan. 19 -- Montana Commissioner of Securities and Insurance issued the following news release:

Commissioner of Securities and Insurance Matt Rosendale today announced his National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC) committee and task force assignments.

Rosendale will serve on four NAIC committees, including as vice chair of the NAIC/American Indian and Alaska Native Liaison Committee.

"I'm excited to hit the ground running protecting Montana insurance consumers and advocating for Montana priorities at the national level," Rosendale said. "Serving on these committees will help me work with Montana's tribes on the unique challenges they face, address 21st Century cybersecurity concerns, reduce burdensome regulations, and advocate for better and more affordable insurance options for Montanans."

Rosendale began meeting with the NAIC and discussing Montana priorities in December following his election as Commissioner of Securities and Insurance, Montana State Auditor. He was sworn into office on January 2, 2017.

Rosendale will serve on the following NAIC committees and task forces:

* NAIC/American Indian and Alaska Native Liaison Committee (Vice Chair)

* Property and Casualty Insurance Committee

* Financial Condition Committee

* NAIC/Industry Liaison Committee

* Cybersecurity Task Force

* Reinsurance Task Force

* Capital Adequacy Task Force

* Workers' Compensation Task Force

* Surplus Lines Task Force

* Regulatory Framework Task Force
