State Rep. Vicki Lopez, whose district covers Key Biscayne, will be hosting officials from state-run Citizens Insurance to respond to questions about coverage or claims issues.
These one-on-one sessions will take place at Lopez's district office at 2100 Coral Way, Suite 702, in Coral Gables, from 9 to 11 a.m. on Nov. 2.

The Citizens Insurance Board of Governors recently approved a double-digit rate increase that will raise homeowner policy rates by an average of 11.5% and many commercial policies by an average of 10.2%.
The company has been trying to reduce some of its 1.4 million customers by shifting some policies to private insurers.
