Rep. Velazquez Introduces Bill to Create Safe Harbor for Insurers

WASHINGTON, July 27 -- Rep. Nydia M. Velazquez, D-N.Y., has introduced legislation (H.R. 4074) to "create a safe harbor for insurers engaging in the business of insurance in connection with a cannabis-related business."
The bill was introduced on July 25 and was co-sponsored by Rep. Steve Stivers, R-Ohio. It was referred to the House Financial Services Committee.
