Rep. Royce Introduces Bill on Community Accountability for Flood-Damaged Areas

WASHINGTON, March 18 -- Rep. Ed Royce, R-Calif., has introduced legislation (H.R. 1558) to amend the National Flood Insurance Act of 1968 "to ensure community accountability for areas repetitively damaged by floods."
The bill was introduced on March 16 and was co-sponsored by Rep. Earl Blumenauer, D-Ore. It was referred to the House Financial Services Committee.
