Bill Would Eliminate Any Subsidies For Flood Insurance Coverage

WASHINGTON, Oct. 18 -- Rep. Scott Peters, D-Calif., has introduced legislation (H.R. 8616) to "eliminate any subsidies for flood insurance coverage under the National Flood Insurance Program for new construction."
The bill was introduced on Oct. 16 and was co-sponsored by Rep. Andy Barr, R-Ky. It was referred to the House Financial Services Committee.
