Rep. Moore Introduces Bill to Amend Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974

WASHINGTON, Feb. 8 -- Rep. Gwen Moore, D-Wis., has introduced legislation (H.R. 5816) to amend title XXVII of the Public Health Service Act, the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974, and title XI of the Social Security Act "to require group health plans and health insurance issuers to provide for certain coverage in the case of a change in a provider's network status."
The bill was introduced on Feb. 7 and was co-sponsored by Rep. David Schweikert, R-Ariz. It was jointly referred to the House Energy and Commerce, Ways and Means and Education and Labor committees.
