WASHINGTON, May 26 -- Rep. Carol Miller, R-West Virginia, issued the following news release:
Congresswoman Carol Miller (R-WV) released a statement following the Supreme Court's ruling on Sacket v Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). The court unanimously reversed the 9th Circuit Courts Decision on the Waters of the United States (WOTUS) rule which will define the limits of EPA authority and federal jurisdiction when regulating private U.S. lands and water resources under the Clean Water Act.
"The Environment Protection Agency continues to fight a losing battle - unnecessary government regulation on private lands and waters," said Congresswoman Miller.
"The Biden Administration should heed this warning from the Supreme Court and withdraw their overbearing WOTUS rule.
"The American people deserve better than these unworkable rules that freeze infrastructure development, hurt investment in housing, agriculture, and energy, and completely disregard private property rights."
