Rep. King Introduces Bill on Medicare Coverage for Metastatic Breast Cancer

WASHINGTON, April 11 -- Rep. Pete King, R-N.Y. has introduced legislation (H.R. 2178) to amend title II of the Social Security Act "to eliminate the waiting periods for disability insurance benefits and Medicare coverage for individuals with metastatic breast cancer."
The bill was introduced on April 9 and was co-sponsored by Rep. Kathy Castor, D-Fla. It was referred to the House Ways and Means Committee.
