Rep. Griffith Issues Statement on $14,300 Grant for Local Senior Care

WASHINGTON, Aug. 29 -- Rep. Morgan Griffith, R-Virginia, issued the following statement after the Department of Agriculture'sOffice of Rural Development announced $14,300 in grant funds awarded to the Public Guardian Partnership in Alleghany County:
"This investment in the work of the Public Guardian Partnership in Alleghany will improve the quality of life for senior citizens in our communities.
"The $14,300.00 awarded in grant funds will be put towards the purchase of a vehicle for the visiting and caring of the elderly population in need of home visits.
"Thanks to this Rural Development grant, our seniors will receive better access to care and services."
