WASHINGTON, Jan. 31 -- Rep. Cheri Bustos, D-Ill., issued the following news release:
Today, Congresswoman Cheri Bustos (IL-17) encouraged Illinoisans to sign up for health insurance coverage before midnight - the deadline to enroll in or make changes to 2017 health plans through the Affordable Care Act.
"Tonight is the deadline for Illinoisans to sign up or make changes to coverage under the Affordable Care Act, and I encourage everyone to go to getcovered.illinois.gov to see the health insurance options that are available to cover yourself or your family," Congresswoman Bustos said. "More than three-fourths of Illinois consumers have qualified for assistance to pay for coverage, and now more than ever, it's important for families to enroll in affordable and comprehensive health insurance plans. Whether it's fighting for individuals with pre-existing conditions or seniors who've saved thousands on prescription drugs, I'll continue working to protect Illinoisans from President Trump's dangerous, reckless and expensive repeal plan."
Today is the last day for Illinoisans to enroll in coverage beginning on March 1st, 2017. Learn more at getcovered.illinois.gov.
