Rep. Bera Introduces Bill on Open Enrollment Periods for Exchange Plans

WASHINGTON, Sept. 17 -- Rep. Ami Bera, D-Calif., has introduced legislation (H.R. 4336) to amend the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act "to align open enrollment periods for Exchange plans with the deadline for filing Federal income tax returns."
The bill was introduced on Sept. 16 and was co-sponsored by Reps. Scott Peters, D-Calif., and Pete Aguilar, D-Calif. It was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
