Relocation Insurance Group and Move for Hunger Announce Partnership
Insurance Weekly News
By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Insurance Weekly News -- Relocation Insurance Group and Move for Hunger are joining forces to combat hunger. Move for Hunger is a non-profit organization that distributes food to those in need. When people move, they often throw away the food in their kitchen. Move for Hunger collects that food and delivers it to local food pantries so it can be sorted and given to families in need. Founded in 2009, Move for Hunger has since collected more than 7 million pounds of food that would likely have ended up in the trash otherwise. Move for Hunger operates nationwide to help the 50 million Americans struggling to get enough to eat.
To help Move for Hunger feed those in need and reduce food waste, Relocation Insurance Group is partnering with the non-profit organization. As part of the partnership, Relocation Insurance Group will be making significant monthly donations throughout the rest of 2016 and 2017.
"Because we work with thousands of relocation companies throughout the country, we're well positioned to increase food donation opportunities for Move for Hunger and to help this worthy organization achieve its goals," says Gadi Binness, the President & CEO of Relocation Insurance Group.
