Reinsurance Association Elects Secretary-Treasurer of Board of Directors

WASHINGTON, Sept. 24 (TNSOps) -- The Reinsurance Association of America issued the following news release:
At its meeting on Wednesday, September 22, the Reinsurance Association of America's Board of Directors elected Justin O'Keefe as Secretary-Treasurer.
Mr. O'Keefe is Senior Vice President and Chief Underwriting Officer for the global property segment at RenaissanceRe. He is responsible for the Company's property underwriting strategy, activities and teams across its global platforms. Mr. O'Keefe joined the company in 2004 and held a series of senior underwriting roles before being appointed to his current position in 2013.
Mr. O'Keefe also serves on the Board of Directors of Top Layer Reinsurance LTD., DaVinci Reinsurance Ltd., and Vermeer Reinsurance Ltd. He is a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Reinsurance Association of America and is involved in multiple other insurance and reinsurance trade organizations.
Mr. O'Keefe earned a Bachelor of Science in Risk Management and Insurance from the St. Cloud State University, where he sits on the Advisory Council of the Herberger Business School.
Mr. O'Keefe joins Jed Rhoads, chair, and Brian Young, vice chair, as officers of the RAA Board of Directors. In commenting on Justin's election, Mr. Rhoads noted, "We are delighted with Justin's election and his commitment to helping Brian and me shape the strategic direction of the Association. His longstanding relationship with the RAA Board will serve him well in his new role."
