Property Casualty Insurers Praises Administration for Efforts to Resume NFIP Operations

WASHINGTON, Dec. 28 -- The Property Casualty Insurers Association of America issued the following statement by Nat Wienecke, senior vice president of federal government relations:

"PCI praises the White House, National Economic Council, and the Office of Management and Budget for their tireless work to resume regular operations for the National Flood Insurance Program.

"PCI also applauds the leadership of key members of Congress for their steadfast support.

"Nearly five million consumers and businesses depend on the NFIP to provide long-term access to flood insurance.

"PCI will continue to work with Congress and the Administration to find solutions to bring more flood insurance options to the marketplace and educate consumers about the dangers of flooding."
