Powell, Chairman of the U.S. Federal Reserve, yesterday highlighted the strong growth and solidity of the U.S. labor market, but, for the first time, reflected his doubts about the monetary authority's ability to stabilize inflation without triggering a recession, when he spoke yesterday at a meeting of central bank chiefs in Lisbon, Portugal.
