Pharmacy Guild of Australia: Gold Cross Appoints New General Manager

CANBERRA, Australia, Dec. 19 -- The Pharmacy Guild of Australia issued the following news release:
Gold Cross this week announced the appointment of Shayne Bland as the company's new General Manager.
Mr Bland's appointment comes after the announced retirement in March 2020 of Trevor Clarkin, who has led Gold Cross for over 20 years.
Having worked for Guild Insurance, a subsidiary of Guild Group Holdings, for more than seven years, and in the insurance industry for more than 18 years, Shayne Bland brings a wealth of experience working with product development, sales and distribution, portfolio management and people management to his new role as General Manager.
Shayne's primary objective in this new role is to lead and manage the Gold Cross business to grow in value and profitability, whilst ensuring the delivery of high quality, value add products and services to benefit Pharmacy Guild Members.
Commenting on his appointment Shayne Bland said: "Gold Cross is a leader in the pharmacy sector and has played a critical role in supporting community pharmacy since its inception. Since joining Guild Insurance, I have had the opportunity to work closely with some incredible pharmacists and I look forward to expanding the reach of Gold Cross and its support of community pharmacy into the future."
