PartnerRe Announces Dan Bolgar as New Head of Health Appointment Follows Retirement of Dennis Heinzig

PEMBROKE, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- PartnerRe Ltd. (NYSE:PRE) today announced that Dan Bolgar, formerly CEO at AXIS Accident & Health Reinsurance, has been appointed Head of Health at PartnerRe effective November 16, 2015. Mr. Bolgar will be based out of PartnerRe’s Minneapolis office reporting to Marvin Pestcoe, CEO Life & Health PartnerRe.

His appointment follows the announcement by Dennis Heinzig, Head of Health and President of PartnerRe America Insurance Company, that he will retire in 2016.

Mr. Bolgar has more than 20 years’ experience in the accident & health reinsurance sector. Prior to joining AXIS, he was EVP at Willis Re responsible for their global A&H division.

He will continue as President of PartnerRe America Insurance Company during the transition, reporting to Mr. Pestcoe.
