WASHINGTON– House Republicans are proposing sweeping changes to the federal Medicaid program that would kick millions of beneficiaries off the health insurance program, which covers more than 71 million low-income Americans. The bill would also bar Medicaid from funding services at clinics that also perform abortions, such as Planned Parenthood.
